Today The Evening Standard and The Independent newspapers, in partnership with the Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, publish a report detailing the findings of their special investigation into modern slavery.

The report was launched in Parliament this week and lays out 11 recommendations for businesses and governments to implement when combating modern slavery.

As part of the investigation, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Britain’s most senior Catholic, convened a round table of experts from business, media, law, finance, philanthropy, law enforcement and victim support. The recommendations of this group are presented in the report.
